Description

Reproduction of an ancient Japanese noh theater mask, red, black and gold leaf. This mask is produced by a ceramist, based on our design, and is fired only once (biscuit). The color is given by urushi lacquer, which is applied in several coats, with very long drying times. It takes about four months to lacquer the base of the mask.
